What is Play It
Forward?
It is a MySchool promotion, sponsored by
Woolworths, that is designed to raise additional
funds for primary schools.
Give card holders and schools the opportunity to
give goodwill to those in need.
Create soccer fever fun on the playground for
kids.
Our school is one of 400 primary schools
participating in this unique and fun promotion
running from 1 March – 31 May 2010.
How do we
participate?
Parents, friends and family can
register to support the school and class they
wish to support. (Each class has a unique Play
It Forward code).
People with MySchool cards who support other
schools (e.g. a high school) can, for the period
of the campaign, also participate and support
your school.
All you need to do is visit Woolworths and swipe
your MySchool card each time you purchase an
item, no matter how big or small.
How can our school
win?
The winning class (per week) and
school (overall) is NOT determined by how much
you spend, but by:
The number of time you swipe your MySchool card
at Woolworths stores.
The number of unique stores that your supporters
visit (so get family across the country to
support your school).
The number of items you buy (big and small –
each item counts).
What can we win?
Three winning schools will each
receive R100 000 plus an additional R50 000 to
give to a local under-resourced school or
charity .
5 winning parents will each get a Nintendo Wii
gaming consol by registering to participate.
Every week each school’s winning class will win
a prize (ranging from a class party to vuvuzelas
to Easter eggs)
